I thought I'd make a quick post today before I'm gone for the weekend and show you my almost finished baby kimono. I pretty much all done except as you can probably see, I haven't finished sewing up the right arm. This is because I did my 3 needle bind-off for the shoulder on the wrong
side(Duh!), now that will have to be ripped out and redone. I have to weave in my ends as well. After some thought on closures and the fact that the sweater is a kimono I thought I would try constructing some Asian-inspired frogs to go with the theme of the kimono(props to Anny for the idea) I also wanted to do a pair of little booties or something to go with it, so I decided after looking for a pattern to do the simple t-bar shoes (Zoe Mellor) again because I've already done them, they really were simple and I probably wouldn't run into any problems as I'm on a limited amount of time to make these little guys.

So here we are, nearly finished and ready to go back to the Lovely Lace Sock and possibly start another baby sweater to work on when I need a break from socks! :-)
Have a great weekend everyone!

What a cute little sweater...and how about those frogs? They are perfect for the kimono and so fun to make. The shoes are lovely too ;0)

Love the kimono and booties Jenn; very sweet! The frogs are so excellent and they make such a great (and safe for babies) detail - seriously better than buttons; and they fit the project perfectly. Way to go! Sorry about your shoulder though (not that it will take much to fix that..hopefully). Hope you have a great weekend!
